“As a working mum and someone who believes deeply in developing the next generation, I saw firsthand how important it is that children, especially at a young age, are encouraged to be curious, creative and confident.” Heather was involved at her own son’s school, so she knows how much it means to pupils to have someone of real industry come in. “A professional who says ‘You can do this, you can use your skills no matter what they are and you can be part of this team’. That is what really inspired me, the chance to show children that engineering isn’t just for a certain type of person, it’s for everyone.”
