Many young people never discover their potential in science and technology, missing out on becoming the innovators and leaders needed to shape a sustainable, technology-driven future.

STEAMup
As part of the FIRST community, STEAMup organises educational activities and events that genuinely appeals to young people. FIRST® LEGO® League and Tech Challenge primary- and secondary students learn to think and problem solve as engineers, solving complex challenges and playing a fun, engaging season game. Teams design, build, and program robots to compete alongside and against other teams in thrilling competitions, while also competing on and off the field for judged awards. Guided by adult coaches and mentors, students develop STEM skills, engage in outreach in their community, practice engineering innovation, celebrate teamwork, and build confidence to carry them through life.
With our support, more teams are able to join, and teachers and mentors receive additional training and guidance.
“Being able to build our roadmap for STEM promotion, with long-term funding from BDR Thermea Foundation, allows us to move, adapt and improve without getting lost in unnecessary bureaucracy and to stay focused on impact.”
