Many children and teens have limited early exposure to STEM, even though that early awareness plays a big role in shaping curiosity and future opportunities in society.
Science Heroes
As part of the FIRST® community, Science Heroes (Bilim Kahramanlari Derneği) organises educational activities and events that genuinely appeals to young people in Türkiye. FIRST® LEGO® League primary- and secondary students learn to think and problem solve as engineers, solving complex challenges and playing a fun, engaging season game. Teams design, build, and program robots to compete alongside and against other teams in thrilling competitions, while also competing on and off the field for judged awards. Guided by adult coaches and mentors, students develop STEM skills, engage in outreach in their community, practice engineering innovation, celebrate teamwork, and build confidence to carry them through life.
With our support, in cooperation with Baymak, we specifically enable disadvantaged children to participate and Baymak employees contribute as volunteers, sharing their knowledge, experience and motivation.
