The technical labour market is under pressure due to a shortage of skilled workers, creating a growing need for more intake, retention and faster skills development.

VTi
VTi (Vakschool Technische Installaties) plays a crucial role in strengthening the technical labour market by linking education, industry and government. Working closely with ROC Amsterdam/Flevoland, VTi focuses on attracting new talent, retaining professionals, accelerating skills development and encouraging intensive knowledge sharing across the sector. Also improving their education, including developing dedicated modules for foreign-language students following engineering courses, helping widen access to technical careers.
We contribute to VTi's work, supporting the development of hybrid education, fasttracking MBO/HBO, and e-learnings. In cooperation with Remeha Benelux, VTi is also professionalising their vocational teachers.
“If we really want to make a difference in the energy transition, the government, the business community and the education sector must collaborate in a fundamentally different way.“
Martin de Haan
Director VTi
